Retaining wall and fence
The side fence was pulled down and the boulder retaining was extended to run the entire west boundary so our sinkhole under our house that we had with our old place will be no more so gone are the days of having to walk in 8 inches of water when there has been a downpour.
Next week surveyor should mark all the posts positions, holes bored and posts in
Boulders & Back Fill (and a crazy Labrador checking out his old stomping ground)

The only way is up
Tried to get an idea of where the first floor would be. The pictures are our attempt at this. The top of the pole being held up in the pictures is our estimation for the finished floor level of the first floor.
The window screens on the neighbours house are 1200 high. We estimate our finished floor level will be a little over halfway up those screens. While I think at ceiling height we will clear their roof, I don't think we will be able to place a window in to take advantage of the view. We will leave our final decision for this until the frame and first floor is up so we can see for sure but I'm not counting on it.

Block is cut
The block was cut today. We were able to utilise the machine from the demo so we didn't have to pay for another float to bring another machine in.
It is great to see the site cleared and cut. The finished floor level will be just above the top of the cut so that has helped us visualize some of the levels. Retaining walls and post getting done next week.

Block cleared
The block has been cleared and the cut is happening tomorrow. We have had some really good progress the last week and the builder is keen as mustard to get going.

Energex came at 3pm today and abolished power line and meters!!!

And more....
Still coming down. We are waiting for Energex and Origin Energy to pull their finger out. They are playing the blame game with each other and even us and we are stuck in the middle at the moment.
I did get the clearance certificate from the council for the sewer and mains cap and seal. A simple phone call and 10 mims later I had the email...why can't it all be that easy! The building certifier will come in after the house is gone and site cleared to give us final approval for the demo, then the build can begin( if we ever get the power disconnected.)
